Product details
The extender you reach for when the rack and the screen are genuinely far apart. This kit carries 4K to 230ft (70m) and 1080p to 328ft (100m) over a single ordinary Cat6 cable, which covers the overwhelming majority of real buildings without moving to fiber or to a more expensive HDBaseT 3.0 kit.
It runs 18Gbps and is HDCP 2.2 and DVI compliant, handling 4K at 50 and 60Hz in YUV 4:4:4 with 10-bit HDR passed straight through. The audio side is unusually complete for a kit at this price: HBR pass-through carries LPCM 2/5.1/7.1, Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital+, Dolby TrueHD, DTS 5.1, DTS-HD Master Audio and — importantly if there is a cinema processor at the far end — Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, all bit-perfect.
CEC bypass keeps the display responding to the source’s power and volume commands, and two-way IR and RS-232 ride the same cable so a control system or a handheld remote still reaches the far end. PoC means the pair powers over the cable itself, so only one end needs a socket — which on a ceiling-mounted display is usually the whole ball game.
If your run is under 131ft and budget matters more than headroom, the 131ft kit does the same job for less. If you also need USB, eARC or an Ethernet drop at the display, step up to the HDBaseT 3.0 kit.
Feeding an LED video wall?
This unit is the front end of a much bigger picture. Every LED wall we ship needs a clean, stable source path in front of the receiving cards — and the cost of the electronics is a rounding error next to the screen itself. If you are specifying signal gear because a wall is coming, talk to us before you buy the boxes: we will size the whole chain and quote the display with it.
