Video extension is a solved problem. USB is the one that still catches people out — and in a modern room it is the half that actually matters, because the camera, the microphone array and the touchscreen are all USB devices sitting nowhere near the computer driving them.
This kit moves USB 3.2 Gen 1 at the full 5Gbps up to 328ft (100m) over a single Cat6a cable, with hardware acceleration for isochronous and bulk transfers — which is the technical way of saying cameras and audio interfaces keep working, not just flash drives. The receiver breaks out four ports: two at 5V/1.5A and two at 5V/1A, so bus-powered devices at the far end get real current instead of browning out. It is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, and it is plug and play, with no drivers, no software and nothing to configure.
Two extras are there for integrators rather than desktops. RS-232 passes through on the same run, and so does FSYNC GPIO — the frame-sync line industrial and broadcast cameras use to lock to a common timebase. Two-way 24V PoC means either end can be the powered one.
Pair it with the screen
Most rooms we kit out this way end up replacing a tired projector or a bezelled LCD wall with a single seamless LED display. If that is where this room is heading, look at the Titan All-in-One LED TV — it arrives pre-calibrated on its own frame, and this switcher drives it straight out of the box.
